Thank you Bryan Place residents for helping make this year’s Dallas Symphony Orchestra concert in Exall Park the largest attended ever and the most successful in terms of funds raised for the park.

The crowd estimate at 8:30 P.M. was 1800 people and the Friends of Exall Park raised over $12,000.00.

One hundred percent of all funds raised at this concert go right back into the park for additional amenities and landscaping over and above what the City of Dallas provide.

It was a great evening of fun, music, and food with so many delightful neighbors. Once again the petting zoo was a huge success for the children. Mr. Magic Man is always a hit with the young and old
alike. Appetites were taken care of with our fresh and tasty popcorn, hot dogs, and hamburgers wonderfully prepared by so many of our volunteers. Neighbors, friends, and many of our volunteers enjoyed the cold beverages that were available to purchase, especially the wine. Our special raffle volunteers did an outstanding job of obtaining many wonderful prizes and selling tickets for chances to win those prizes. We even had our resident artist, “Cowboy” Stan Cobb displaying many of his own works and donating one piece for our silent auction.

The music throughout the entire evening leading up to and including the Dallas Symphony Orchestra was just superb.

The park itself has never looked so good and the night of the concert it looked so festive. However, it is always the people who make it a success or not. This year’s attendance by so many of you who came out to support and enjoy a wonderful evening in the park is truly appreciated. This year’s concert in the park was the most successful ever because of the Bryan Place neighborhood, our terrific volunteers and supporters, and this wonderful community.
