The DSO Concert on June 4th was a great success. Thanks to all of you who came out during the day to help with the set up, and a special thanks to Carol Myers for opening her house up for lunch for the setup volunteers. A huge Bryan Place “thank you” to all who came out Tuesday evening to help with the raffles, the concessions, setting up our vendors, and assisting with so many activities going on Tuesday night.

This event could not ever be such a success without the help of so many who give of their time, money, and creative efforts.

The estimated crowd of 1,000 to 1,200 people and their dogs appeared to have a wonderful evening in our Exall Park.

I hesitate to mention individuals because I can never mention everyone. I cannot however pass up this opportunity to send out a huge “THANK YOU” to Tuesday night’s grillmaster Mr. Zlatko Oprijic (Z). He did such an outstanding  job we ran out of hot dogs & hamburgers by 7:30 P.M. The commitee of Susie L., Sue D., and Gaye M. did a fantastic job with our raffle prizes and we had recordssales of tickets thanks to Debbie Anderson and our volunteers from the J.L. Long Middle School volleyball team. Our Treasurer Peggy T. did an excellent job keeping up with the funds that were coming in fast and furious. According to reports that Peggy is already sending us the Friends group is going to net close to $12,000.00. 100% of all the funds raised go back into the maintenance and enhancements for Exall Park.

Lastly I want to thank so much Gary & Joy Mitchell and Chris Lumkes. We could never be as well prepared without their help every year to have our festivities set up and ready to go the   morning of the concert. To the hundreds of our Friends of Exall Park, thank you for coming out and supporting ourDallas Symphony Orchestra concert. It was a terrific evening for the community for Bryan Place and for Exall Park.

Thank you all so much,
