Exall Park was established in 1917 and designed by renowned architect George Kessler, who also created Fair Park and many other downtown buildings.

Exall Park is home to the City of Dallas Recreation Center, a full-access children’s playground, a basketball court, a softball field, a giant meadow for live concerts, shaded alleys for art exhibits and demonstrations, convenient edge-of-downtown location, and undulating walking paths.

Exall Park is the center of a newly revitalized neighborhood.

Friends of Exall Park

Friends of Exall Park is an all volunteer non-profit corporation focused on the beautification and programming for Exall Park.

Together with the Parks and Recreation Department, the Friends have added a new playground, exercise equipment, sidewalks,  landscape design, plantings, sprinklers, waste receptacles, pet stations, park benches, and park signage.

The Friends host multiple events every year, including a holiday Tree-Lighting festival and park cleanup days.
